However, so many of those go unrecognised for their achievements. In this video project, I share light on some of those whose work has positively impacted many.

Hiding who we dont know
Then I thought, what if I showed these people but with their faces covered up. What would the difference be anyway? This implied that without widespread recognition, their contributions remain almost invisible to most of us. I wanted to challenge people to think how many important figures exist in the shadows of history, with their stories untold to most.
The Final Reveal
Finding my Idea in Binary
In this project, I had to create a piece of work inspired by the number zero. Initially, I looked at binary, and in a short video I had a page of zeros transition into binary. The introduction of the ones added colour, fun, and life into the video, with zero represented as the foundation of beginnings.
At this point, I wasn’t the biggest fan of this idea and I wanted to explore a more personal idea, highlighting something of importance. I then reconsidered the meaning in the video. I thought, what if the ones in the video represented people, and the zeros were individuals who made significant impacts on humanity, but received zero widespread recognition for it.
The video shows short clips of the people I focused on, with quotes that define what they have done. Along side my video, I created a series of posters which would display the faces of each figure shown in the video. These were created, having been inspired by a movie poster type design, which shows them off as a main character in their role in history.
